Rolling Fenders

Hello All,

I was wondering if any of you guys know of any shops in the San Jose, Bay Area the can roll fenders?? Porsche fenders that is??

I put Techarts on my TT and the fenders are rolled but the rears hit when the *** end comes down?? It hits on the outer edge towards the rear of the car where the back bumper meets the fender. At least that is what I am thinking.

The fenders were rolled origionally at the top and part of the way down each side but then not fininshed all the way down??

I need to have someone good finish the sides and I think that will solve my problem?? Only happens on hard bumps or freeway onramps under extreme side loading??

Thanks

Andreas

I feel you, man. Lucent has the tool that does this (doesn't help you, I know). It's awesome and it does it perfectly. Whatever you do I would not recommend doing it yourself. I would find someone who has the tool.

ive seen those rolling machines before, they cost like 1,000.00 or so but good baseball bat is enough to roll a fender, u just need a very competent body man to do it..

i hope you find a good fender roller soon

I did mine, it's fairly easy, I used a wood junior baseball bat wrapped in cloth tape and a jack to lift each wheel enough to fit the bat between the inside fender and use the wheel for leverage, go slow and roll with a smooth touch, don't try to get all of it in one pass, it is fairly easy once you get the hang of it.
When you get the feel for it, roll the bat with one hand and keep the other hand on the outside of the fender, this will give you more inside bending without the risk to popping out the fender completely.

If they started it, it should be very easy to finish up, just follow the contour and go a little lower/deeper each time.

Can someone post a picture to highlight exactly which area are we talking about? Is the baseball bat rolling against painted metal area?
