My Fabspeed Quiet works fine with Tip and Cab; little drone at 2200rpm, but not enough to bother me or my wife.

Now that urethane bushing concept sounds like a great idea!
anyone tried it?
I've been thinking of fabricating some kind of removable/adjustable tip silencer. I'd like to hear thoughts on that.

Instead of adding 50lbs to the backside of your car with dynomat (you already have like an inch padding under the rear carpeting), maybe consider a different exhaust system... there are definitely systems with much less drone.

dynomat will do nothing for this. I used to install that in all of my cars for custom audio.
If you want to try however it is simple to install and you have pretty easy access to the rear shelf for a DIY.

good luck

Consider switching exhausts as some brands clearly have more than others....

What are you currently running?

Did you ever find a solution to this? I have the same issue.

does anybody know how a ceramic coated exhaust systems work as far as reducing drone? At least you have a coupe, my cab is very loud drone, when I install the hard top the noise level is cut in half, however when the top is down I don't hear it at all

Mine is a tip (with exhaust) and I have exactly the same issue. Fortunately, it only happens in the range of 2300-2500rpm with light throttle application in that zone. Given the fact that I am a new turbo owner, you can take a guess as my "practical" solution for that problem.

Curiously, getting the car serviced for the first time reduced the drone, as did getting a BMC air filter. My buddy just got the cargraphic exhaust on his tip and has no drone whatsoever. I have heard the tip drones more than the 6MT for some reason. Anyone have any idea why?

after living with this cross over for nearly a year now, I have to say I love it. It sounds like an EP loud, just about 10-15% louder and I went from not being able to have a discussion in the car and having to turn the stereo up high to hear it, to being able to have a quite discussion with no problem. The drone is not gone, but is has reduced so much that I don't even think about it any more. About the only annoyance is cold start up.

Yes, correct. It is 2.5 inch, 4 2.5 inch race mufflers and 100 cell kemira cats. The crossover is also 2.5 inches. If I was at a higher power level I might have gone with 3 inch.
