My new daily driver...

My old tuner has the HP tuners software. he just loaded a file that he's been running in his truck for a while. We think it's too much power for the stock tranny as it went through mine pretty quick (although my truck has 100k on it). But HIS just started to slip too at only 50k or so, so he is doing the same shift kit I did. No speed loader he does all the tuning with his laptop, no switching between the files like SCT and such. BIG difference LOVE it. I hauled my 28ft enclosed trailer to the track the other night with my tt and some gear (about 8200lbs) and it towed like nothing. Gotta love a diesel truck. NO use for a gas truck. So far, guesstimating, I get about 20mpg normal and about 13-15 towing. Maybe better, definitely not worse, near as I can tell so far. Only had it a few months and don't drive it much with the company car and the TT.

Nice choice, I own a early (5.9) 07 Dodge Ram 2500/CTD/QC-Shortbed/Laramie and I love it... it's modded mildly. (Intake, 5" Turbo Back exhaust, Smarty REVO, CFM+ Upper IM w/Grid Header Delete Spacer) and I get an avg of 21 mpg; thats with setting the cruise to 70mph. I tow a 17.6ft featherlite open car trailer and half of the time I forget its even back there with the supra loaded. Got to love the torque of the cummins.
Mike, if your looking for a flash programmer; I highly recommend the SMARTY; it is untracable by the dealer; and is known to be one of the best units out there for the cummins.
Congrats again!
Here's a pix of my baby, if your interested!
