No skill, no, some skill, Yes..
As much skill as driving on a road course for 30 minutes, going from 30-165mph, lateral g's, braking, accelerating, give me a break. Who has more talent John Force or Michael Schumacher??
One makes 80 million a year...

The pay check has to do with how marketable the sport is. F1 has a world wide market. what do IRL or cart guys get payed? And as for who has more skill. Through Schewie into Force's car and lets see how he does. Like wise with force. Two completely different kinds of racing but Major skill required in both to be on top.

da Matta was the Big Dog in the CART series. Doesn't seem to be much of a threat in F1

Somehow I doubt an average drag racer could jump into the car and run 5s. Not everyone is into the same thing, but to discredit other peoples work or accomplishments.
Are you coming to the shootout? I want to see some 9s @ 140+ too. I would think that'd be a record.

I would recommend checking it out if you're a auto performance enthusiast. Just watch out for the mullets.

Going 10s in a drag setup domestic is like falling off a log. Automagic tranny, high stall, big tire. floor it on the 2nd yellow.
