I know he is going for the TT. Everyone knows the TT does and should kill the M3 in everyway except trunk size and costs to maintain

stuka: Thanks for the great feedback.
Blazin Civic: I don't know if you are joking or not, so I assume you are being serious. If you know the E46 M3 (US), then you would know that is not a viable option. There is NO E46 M3 turbo out that I am aware of. Some speak of custom setups but when they really consider what's involved, it becomes futile. Supercharging is the only FI being developed/released.
High compression engine and integrated cats w/ headers (US), makes a turbo a non-option.
I also don't want to go with a non-stock type of setup.,

Hi, i sold my m3 before i got my 996 turbo, i absolutely loved my bmw and did not sell for five years until a freind of mine said he would like it. I didnt want to see an idiot get it and crash it. Back to subject though, a 996 tt is in a totaly different league, endless power posabilities and so much faster standard. Also consider i sold my m3 for £8000 and brought the porsche for £40000. Not fair comparison, if your in porsche money and want revs try a ferrari 360 manual hard top.

A bolt-on turbo with DME tuning on an e46 M3 will wipe the floor with a bolt-on chipped 996tt. With the right driver and tires, it can wipe it on the track as well.

LOL...that statement is even funnier than the fact that this thread is 5 years old.
