Help with a "rear end wiggle"..
I bought my car a couple months ago. When I got it it had H@R srpings.. 18 inch wheels, and RWD. Since the day i got it... it would feel a little wiggly on the road. Especially over bumps. The back end would sway a bit. I didn't really pay it any mind until 140 mph it got pretty violent. I blamed the drop springs.. and ordered some PSS10's. Also bought a set of 19 HRE's with some MPSC's. Now I am new to the sport cups.... and wonder if the softer tire may be the culprit. The car was aligned at Porsche.. all the toe and camber bolts are tight... ect.
Im wondering if the missing pieces from the front diff and all that may have something to do with it.
Anybody have any experience with this situation? Could it be the lack of weight and extra load of the front diff? Tires? something im missing....? motor mounts?
Im not new to the Turbo.. I owned one before.. and it was solid at any speed.
thanks....

I'm not sure if this is the same weight shifting you are talking about, but when I upgraded my sway bars and got them dialed in, it eliminated all rear weight shifting. They also really solidified the the handling and stability of the car. Motor mounts would have a more beneficial effect on shifting gears under cornering loads, IMO.
H&R springs are known to sag over time. My factory stock suspension had a wiggly feel to it. I went to PSS9's, but they are too soft for the track so now changing to Motons.

Wiggly/dancing over bumps is probably a shock/spring issue. It could also be the rear end walking if you haven't upgraded your rear toe links. Wiggling under high speed braking is usually a bad LSD. That is just a start of potential causes.

It is more of a "dancing" effect like you say. It doesn't happen under braking. I also do not have a limited slip.
What sway bar(s) and toe links do you suggest i get?
Hopefully when i put the front diff back in... it will help solve this issue.
thanks.

Are you breaking traction? That kinda describes the feeling of when your tires lose traction at speed, and bumps make it more pronounced. I get a little dance when the boost hits in 3-4, and I am 4wd. Does this only happen at WOT?

lol.... its sucked... i just slowly lifted to try and settle it a bit. I know the road has a bit of a crown so i just tried to move onto the top of it while slowing. But yeah.. it was spooky.
It is not from breaking traction. It is more planted at WOT. Its most noticeable over bumps... when the tires are fighting the crown of the road... or even when I drive over the "tar strips" they use to fill cracks. It is more pronounced the faster I go.

I bought the TPC sway bars and TRG drop links. The TPC bar is hollow and 4 way adjustable. The bars are 32mm in front and 26mm rear. Others are available. Best setting for my car is 2nd hole from soft, both front and rear. That really eliminated the weight shifting and body roll from the car.

Tires pressures, corner balance, and sway bars all need to be dialed in right. Find a local shop that is used to doing race prep on Porsche's and they can dial it in right for you. I went through the same process as you, including front diff removed, and they made it rock solid. I know the 'wiggle' and it can be scary!

Im running 305/30/19 Sport cups. Tire pressure has been 44hot in the rear.. then dropped to 34 hot in the rear to see if that was the culprit. It really made no difference. Maybe a slight, slight difference.
