I know you do...

But like I said, most westsiders (meaning BH to Malibu) don't venture too far east. The 405 acts as the a de facto barrier between east and west.

I use Felix for all my service needs. Great service, great work and probably the least expensive dealer anywhere in LA. I used Auto Gallery once and they were also great and gave me a car, but they are pretty pricey.

or for service work, John at Motorworks on robertson, beverly hills. ex mechanic from BH porsche, started his own shop, if you don't know him you should.
That's Downton L.A Motors Volkswagen Audi Porsche officially and it is a brand new service facility and the advisors have all been there a long time, go to Dennis or Valentin.

rusnak

i took my car to rusnak and they took care of me quite well there. ask for mike barcelona. he is a very stand up guy. loaner car all the time for any type of services i do. althought sometimes they gave me minivans as loaner.

once they put a little scratch in my center console. i told him about it and he replaced it right away. there are only two writer for prosche so the wait can be bad. the mechanic are pretty well knowledged on what they are doing (at least they put my car back in one piece okay since i just had hydaulic pump replaced and its hose) etc etc.

there are cool lounge to hang out too but too bad not at the porsche side.

however here is just my .02

BH porsche sucks, I had the engine replaced in my 99 c2, admittedly a major thing but it took over 2 months to get it done. Fine I can accept that, but if I meanwhile call in to check the status of the car and dont get a rep to answer q's and dont get a call back until the tenth message, then Id say service is horrible.
Their techs are probably good but they simply over book their schedule. By the way Trevor is an unaccomodating d*@k!
Ill never bring in my cars there again.

Funny, Trevor has always treated me really well.

All my GT2 and Turbo friends have gotten good service from him as well. Maybe the high end customers get better treatment. Oh well, fine with me.

Lol what do you mean by the highend customers? So you're saying if I brought my 996 turbo in Id get better treatment? I seriously doubt it. And if what you said is right then all the more reason to say theyve got ****ty service. Why only give good service to the more expensive cars?

Oh and Larry is the name of the useless rep that supposedly helped me out. What a joke he is.

Since it's somewhat on topic...How much oil are we talking about for $200. And I'm thinking the engine needs to be fairly warm to do this as the oil cooler has to be open...and how do they refill that? Once the oil is out it must cool immediatly. Nothing I think I would tackle in my garage, but I am curious.

My old service writer used to tell me that they really take care of their GT2 customers, especially if they bought it from the dealer.

Maybe you would get better service with your Turbo. Or maybe if you made it a point to have a good relationship with them, they would take care of you. That's what works for me.

I send them customers, tip them when they hook me up, and am generally very nice to them. I get great treatment in return.

You know in my business, I make it a point to provide excellent service and goods to my customers regardless of how much money they spend. I simply didnt get that from the BH porsche service cntr. Now why should I go out of my way to suck their asses when Im the paying customer? Besides it was a 15K dollar job they did. Surely its more than what most porsche owners spend on a visit regardless whether their car is a boxter or a cgt. I think your logic is slightly skewed. But hey I am happy that you are able to receive excellent service from them. For me Ive found that the Auto Gallery have excellent service. Always a loaner at hand and never any problems with appointments or delayed pickups. Hell they even call back and make sure that you are satisfied. At BH I couldnt even get Larry to talk to me on 9 out of 10 phone calls. I even felt that Trevor made a point out of making himself unavailable. Hence you can understand my unwillingness to spend more money there.
