C6 vs 996 turbo
#2
It has 15 more bhp and weighs at least 100lbs less than a stock 996tt. So I would say yes. Best time I have seen for an LS3 is 11.7 and the best time I have seen for a 996tt stock is 11.9. On a road course I am not sure which, but vettes are notoriously stiff and if the course is uneven, the p-car usually has the advantage. In the wet no contest at all. 996tt all the way
but why do you ask???

The average Vette driver is best at laying rubber, in my experience, so you could pick up an advantage at launch with the Turbo's AWD. A good driver, though, could lay the power down smoothly and take away this advantage.

Well the 996 TT in stock form and the C5Z06 are complete peers, meaning either could win at any time. The C5Z was better than the original C6, but the new ones with 436 hp (I think 08') could be a tad faster, I don't know. May be a good match for a stock X-50.

Seriously, whoever this is has started a bunch of <insert Porsche> versus <insert some other high performance car> threads. Not once have they posted back in one of their own threads. Classic trolling, which we shouldn't be feeding (though I'm breaking that rule right now).

Both in stock forms... 1/4 mile? Maybe the Vette with equal drivers. On road courses, TT should take the win. I've seem a lot of slow C6 drivers on the tracks... Run flats and that massive torque means spin outs for C6 newbies!
