Once again that was never the argument. You have some need to keep insulting me or my car you need to figure out why, this whole argument began as a discussion of what was better in the twisties or canyon roads and I said a bike will outurn a shifter cart or any car. That is my opinion which I am entitled too. I have no idea of how skilled a driver you are nor have I insulted your car. If you happen to have a GT2 great for you I just used that as an analogy 996 to GT2 track performance...

I'm going to leave it at that. Regular 996 is almost like a whole different car compared to its GT3 brother.
Driving a GT is a whole other experience. After you drive a GT, your face will look like this:

I agree and the GT3 will be the 2nd car in my garage one day however my 996's were daily drivers even though I live in Florida a GT3 is still not an everyday car. I have 3 friends that have them and enjoy them but they all have other cars, I do not have that option now.

Hey Marc,

OT, but doesn't a brand new C55 cost more than the C2 you just got rid of?

The C55 is about 56k it is in the M3 and S4 price range, my C2 was 80k plus the mods I put into it, but I got rid of it for several reasons

1) lights stolen 2 times already
2) buying a new apartment
3) tired after 4 years (2 996's) of a sports car as my only car

I do miss it, but the C55 is a nice answer....

Ok, for some reason I thought it was a 2002. I was implying that the current value of the car was about the same if not less than a brand new C55

If a Gallardo is that close, just imagine what a GT2 could do.

Normally aspirated cars run much better on the track especially when you have lots of turns.

I don't mean to jump in here, but this is a brash and untrue generalization that's a common misconception these days. A turbocharged car demands a different driving style than NA, properly setup and driven there is no way you can make an accurate assumption or argument for which cars "run much better".

Meaning in the turns a noramally aspirated car responds much smother, I have been on the track in a GT2 with a very skilled driver and we were following a GT3 and a cup car in the turns, however the straights are another story
