Yet another PS2 vote. I totally enjoy the way my Turbo responds and feels shod with PS2's. There's an indefinable subjective element to tire choices--"This is what I like, this is what feels fast, safe, and sticky." PS2's always feel outstanding for the way I like to drive and the conditions under which I usually do that driving. The wet is not a problem and control is always superb. For what it's worth I've tried several different brands of tire on my Turbo. I've always ended up happily back on PS2's.

I have always run the Yoko's but just could not resist trying the Sumi for daily driving (I almost bought the whole set of Sumi's for the price of 1 rear Yoko). I was getting 10,000 miles out of the rear tires if I was lucky. If the Sumi's suck I am not out that much. If I start to do more than 10 track days a year I will buy tires for the track.

But agree, the Yoko's are spectacular tires.

Thanks for the hands-on feedback...that's the sort of info I like to see...personal knowledge. Rep point for you.........sorry for the ignorance....but what's the CMP???

**I came back with an afterthought. What speeds did you notice the traction breaking loose? What sort of course were you running...i.e. how tight were the turns....did you have any hydroplaning?
CMP=Carolina Motorsports Park. They have a wet skid pad and we were doing back to back tests against PS2's. The Kumho XS would not bite on turn in, they just skittered (technical term) in a straight line. I would expect that looking at the tread on the XS it would be very prone to hydroplaning. In the Tire Rack test against RE-11, AD08, Star Spec the XS had the best dry and worst wet traction. If you are running 285 or 295 18 rears I would get the Yokohama Advan AD08's, I just wish they made them in 315 for the rear of the GT2

2k miles on my daily driver (19" 315/25 setup). TOYO T1R have been outstanding wet or dry (no discernible wear yet) . I have run Continental, Pzeros & Michelin sport rib in the past. In my experience the T1R is a better tire although cheaper than all three. I think they look pretty cool too.

I would have tried them sooner but Tirerack doesn't sell them (used to be a regular customer).
