Which Kit K24/20 or Tial 3071?

As the title states, I would like to pull the trigger on either kit, can we discuss the pro's/cons of each kit.

From my observations the only thing that worries me with the Tial 3071 kit is the massive torque.

Thanks for any input.

yeah, gee, that massive torque thing sucks...

3071's at 1.2 or 1.3 bar on pump...more than you'll ever need for the street...

Sorry meant to state that it is a worry with stock internals, glad I gave you something to laugh at!

yeah, I knew what you meant...I have 18G's now and if I were to upgrade from here, I would go straight to 3076's...however, if I had K16's, knowing what I know now, I would go straight to the 3071's.

I dont know this for a fact but I would think the 30/71's would give you much better
power "under the curve" and I know that they are very responsive (Jamie Carter had
them on his stock internal GT2 and they really were snappy with the correct fuel, timing, and program)

both set ups exert good power.....torque is what hurts the internals....whatever you get, cap the TQ below 700 or you will bend your rods....Turbo wise do your homework well. GL

Miss Jamies car had 30/76 AR 82. I have 30/76 AR 63's.

Personaly, I generally recomend 24/18's for most people wanting more power....if you want really big power and are willing to go all out (extrnal wastegates, etc) I recommend the Gt30's.

The Tial GT3071/3076 Alpha Series Turbos have proven their point in KPG's car and soon to be TopGuns car. I still have the original GT3076/K24 Hybrids that Tial made years ago and I love them. I'm currently debating on doing an upgrade to my motor so I can run 2.0bar to really let those turbos sing in their highest efficiency range. If I need more I will swap to the Alpha series.

If you want my personal recommendation though, if you want 600-700rwhp or so then go with a K24/18G. If you are looking for 700+ rwhp and looking to be able to build the motor and keep turning the boost up then you want to go with the 3071/3076 Alpha.

Remember though when you do these you've got to pay to play to make the big HP. You need fuel injectors, fuel pump (if you want to be completely safe), Boost controller, exhaust (Bigger the better (or just straight pipe)), intercoolers (if you don't want to deal with heatsoak), Meth (if your tuner suggest it (depends on your access to race gas)), and other little things here and there. I'm sure there are some major components I am missing, but I've had strep for the last few days and this not sleeping thing is getting to me....

Turbo Upgrade

I would highly!! recommend the tial 3071's from the experience of installing them and driving all different forms of turbo upgrade kits. You are going to be impressed by not only the torque but the linear power they deliver.

tt, Would you do the 3076's on stock internals, though?

Stock internals from what I have dealt with have been fine for up to 700hp or so, that is if you dont drive like you stole the car 100% of the time!
all aside I would recommend building internals when you reach a point of anything more than 750hp. oh and btw John@SpeedTech, I hope you received the tips I sent you okay.

Yup...adjust the boost based on rwtq. Stop at around 680-700rwtq...
