Ferarri 575 Maranello kill!

Got my new GIAC stage 1 chip from speed gallery Friday. What a difference! Completely humbled a 575 Maranello on Saturday.

I hate the 575, but if you think a stock 996TT will beat one, youre nuts.

I think it would be a drivers race between all of these cars, and I definately think the TT can take the 575.

It would take it in drag race from a dig, but from a freeway roll, I think the 575 would pull a stock TT.

Drive both, than come back to me. The 575 is substantially quicker than a stock 996TT. A GT2, no, but stock 996TT, easily.

I've driven both and think it's definitely possible.

It's definitely a driver's race just like 99% of the races between high end cars.

I'm going to need to do more research on the various chips that everyone is using on the board. I seem to recall a few posts about the Upsolute chip being best bang for the buck. Obviously you just purchased a Giac chip and did the research...why did you go that route?

(As for the 575M vs 996tt, after the race his oil change probably cost double, so does his insurance, and the buy in, and there is no space for my kids in the back seat of a 575M. But contrary to some, the design is ok, but I'd wait for an F430.)

The only way it would be a drivers race is from a dead stop, with a sleepy 575 owner to 80mph. The 575's pulling power up top is much stronger than a 996TT.

Kill..............Smoke............can't we just get along!

TT owners, please refrain from "killing" any more Ferraris, they are an endangered species!
It's Ok to "dust" them if they need it.

Talking

Ok...Just to cap off the debate with R&T's test results. This was an x50 996tt. August 2003 issue.
