Revo is one of the best out of the box ECU programs on the market. You can adjust many parameters and lock them in to specific environments , fuel types or performance needs.
If you purchase Revo get the select plus that allows data logging.
I attached the PDF file that goes with the select plus package.

I have the Revo upgrade.
In stock mode the car drives normal.
In performance mode it is certainly faster, BUT I notice a significant jump every time the variocam shifts modes. It is much more pronounced that stock to the point where is it very annoying when cruising at freeway speeds or any speed where I am below 3800-4000 rpms. My co-pilot even mentioned that she noticed this on our last club drive.
FWIW, I always put the car back into stock mode for regular driving because of what I described above.
I've also been told by a reputable source that my stock file is gone and replaced with the Revo version of stock. I was not made aware of this prior to the install, and I'm not sure if it really matters.

Mine did the same until I created a custom setting. I do not use the Revo performance setting. I have my variables locked in and now the car performes very well. I also only run MS VP 109 but this shound not make that much of a difference. I suggest you hook your laptop up to the ODBC and play around with the variables and fine tune the setting to your liking. It took me 1000 miles of driving to fine tune the file but the result is worth the work.

I have a friend here that has REVO on his 996TT and he loves it. He had the original performance tune then changed it soon after to boost 8 timing 4 and now the car is very fast and confortable to drive for him. He was very satisfied. The boost and timing and other setting should be adjusted to each car and its enviroment and mods.

Mine is set to the car and mods and you will have to do the same. start by looking at what the performance setting are set to and go from there. Take your time, write down the likes and dislikes of every combination and you will fine tune your Revo to your mods.

I started with REVO and also had good results. I think the most important thing is to have whoever works on the car use what they are most familiar with. the program is only as good as the people servicing the car. once you start having troubles and no tuner is around you are out of luck.
