Fuel gauge problem. Help!

Hi. I was driving my turbo today, and i stopped on a down slope, about 20 degrees on a stop light. My fuel had about 1/4 tank left on the gauge. Then suddenly, the computer said "fuel gauge failure, please drive to workship". And I saw my fuel gauge dropped all the way down to zero.

Then i continue to drive on a flat surface, then the error disappear, and the fuel gauge back to 1/4 full.

So has anyone experience this before? I just got my car a week ago. Should I bring it back to the dealer? It's a certified used 01 turbo. Please help.

Its a bad fuel unit sender. Just had mine replaced last week under warrantee. Same problem, everytime i got below 1/4 tank it died and said that. Filling the tank would reset it until the next time.

Had mine replaced under warranty too. I kept getting 'empty' after only 10 gallons or so. They replaced my instrument cluster.

So everyone got it fixed? I hope it's not a repetitive problem. Don't really wanna keep going to the shop.

Thanks.
