Does anyone know this turbo from California?
Does anyone know who this car belonged to or know any details about the modifications? I'm an autobroker in Texas and I'm looking at buying this car from a Cali auction for myself. Hoping someone will recognize this car and give me some more insight on it. The vehilce detail are listed below. Thanks for looking.

No offence to the previous owner, but the car looks a bit hacked up. Don't know what the front side wings are for...and the no airbag steering wheel?
Also the center console looks like it's popping off...looks like wires behind it...

Thanks for the replies everyone. The front "wings" are canards and they're designed to increase downforce to the front of the vehicle during high speed turns. Most people just get them for the looks and I'm sure this owner did the same. From experience with misguided owners of modified vehicles, they tend to spend money on the motor and save money on cosmetics. This car supposedly has substantial mods to the engine but to the untrained eye of a dealer, its a red flag to not buy. Its obvious this car has been to the track(race tires, rollcage, cheap attempt for weight reduction) so for around $25k- 28k its not a bad deal. I will clean it up if I buy it guys, trust me! Paint touch ups, Techart extended diffuser for the front Techart bumper, 19" Black OZ Ultraleggeras, reinstall carpet and add a pair of GT3 seats. I own a performance shop as well so mods would come quick. Thanks again guys for your tips an advise.

I dunno, to me it looks like it was used as a track car as you stated. Hence the Track Matt floor matts and Alcantara steering wheel (looks like it's an OMP). The driver's seat looks to be a racing type of seat judging by the deep bolsters. The passenger seat is tough to tell, but also looks like an aftermarket racing seat of some type. (my black leather recaro sportlines would look mighty nice in there!). With only 24K on the clock, if you could buy it for that low of a price, so long as there's nothing wrong with it, no signs of major damage, no second gear popout and the carfax is reletively clean, I'd grab it in a hot minute. Infact, if you choose to pass it up, please pm me the info as I can probably use my mom's boyfriend to purchase this car if it's only available to dealers. Do you know what the engine mods are? Regarding the Canards, they really do make a difference on the track, however take em or leave em. But I do LOVE the Techart front bumper and the GT2 Rear wing! Good Luck with whatever you decide, but if you passit up, please PM me the info!

I know you don't have enough posts to PM me, so can you email me the auction site or which auction company it is with? I'm serious about this car if I can get the info. I want something with low miles and something that I wont be afraid to track and since this car has obviously been a track car or at least seemingly visited the track on a regular basis, I wouldn't feel guilty about putting it on the tarmac! Thanks in advance!

LIke others have said it's a track car. Those wings on the front are like current RSR aerodynamic bits used to improve downforce while racing. Same with the steering wheel (reduces weight, better feel while racing) - it is not a so-called 'pimp' car, just used as a track car.

I saw some other pix of the car through the manheim site, it's definitely not pimped out, infact the owner seemed to be a VERY hardcore track junky. Those canards certainly are laughable when you see them on a civic on the street, however to a dedicated track car, they're made to improve lap times. After seeing better pix of the interior, there's no doubt in my mind the owner put those things on with one thing in mind and that's to make the clock turn slower around a track. I wish I had known about this car earlier. I'm really curious to see what it went for, if at all. Also, curious to see if there's any other issues other than the interior being changed over for track use. Soslo, Thank you If someone bought this car, I'd love to hear more about it!
