Z06 vs GT2 (Original, I know:)
#31
Marty, a stock 996 GT2 making 450? huh?

Sounds dead on right. Now this is the race I want to see. I don't want to hear about a good drvier vs. bad driver and the excuses. A nice roll on from 40mph. Let's see some action.

That Gt2 cannot be stock. That's almost 70 more whp than a stock #, must be flashed. The Z06 #'s seem right.

I will run her car car against a bone stock 996 GT2 or a 997 GT2 from a 40 mph roll. It would be fun to see the outcome.

At 40mph where are the GT2's in the rpm range and what gear...? The GT2 may pull the Z06 slightly at that speed I'm not sure. 60-70mph roll the Z06 will probably pull slightly.
When it goes into the dreaded 5th in a 'stock' Z06 the GT2 will start pulling away or gaining slowly until the Z06 gets back into its power then the GT2 would stop pulling. Just not sure if a stock Z can reel a GT2 back in if it's ahead at that speed...I'd love to try it though.

I will try to hook up some of my buddies here in Cali. I know a nice Z06 that's stock. I just have to find a stock 996 GT2, it's gonna be a tough find Agree with your write up though, I've seen some action close to that.
I'm in anytime...too bad I'm in Texas...not sure if a 40mph roll would be great for the Z06.

Paul don't even try to say the Caddy is stock... My question to everyone here is have you ever seen a Cadillac do a wheelie in the rain?? Well I had never till today when we were leaving from lunch. Paul carried the front wheels at least 330ft.
