Hi everyone ! I'm newbie in the forum. I was just wondering, I have a 2003 stock 996TT and I was hitting .8 bar. Isn't the stock boost up to .7 bar only ? Do I have an air leak somewhere ? Any advise is greatly appreciated , thanks !

 

MY and model please. When you say you are "hitting" .8 is this a spike or sustained in a third or fourth gear pull? If it is a spike, it is quite normal...depends on fuel, environmental conditions...

Thanks for the info. It was a third gear pull, then I let off so it may have just been a spike . Thanks again.

 

any x50 car will hit .8 bar without a problem, but if not then the spike is quite normal if it only hits that boost for a second or so.

My car is not the X50 model. Like I mentioned in my last reply, it was a third gear pull and it hit .8, but I let off the throttle as soon as it. I thought it may have sustained the .8 had I not let off, but I'll check again tomorrow. Thanks.
