Mercedes gives Cayenne Run For Money
OMG, has anyone else heard about this???
They put the supercharged AMG 55 engine in the G55 for 2005!!!
At 469HP, it now beats the Cayenne TT for the most powerful SUV in production!
True, it's still no Porsche, but dayaaaam....0-60 in 5,5 sec. This is seriously gonne give Porsche some competiton in the high end SUV market!
MSRP $100K fully loaded.

I didn't think that this was the Cayenne board. Personally, having driven Cayennes while my car was in for service, I find them to be Porsche satire.

to start with, i like the G55, for the purpose it was built. then, for the purpose it was built what's the point of going into the whole HP war which the car is gonna drive like a brick anyway?

from what i hear, the g55 package makes it unable to go off roading, which is, in my eyes, was the only saving grace for that vehicle. if that old truck can't do what it was designed for, then what good is it? a big station wagon with lots of horsepower. i really don't get this suv craze! lol.
