No,Ben had a dual inline pump system rather than the Evoms dual pump in parallel system like is in my car.The dual pump inline system tends to cavitate (one pump is pushing fuel through the restriction of the other pump)resulting in a lean condition causing detonation.

His tune is for 94 octane, afaik he only runs 94.

Jag, what fuel system are you running?

Looks like you lifted the head or detonated.

I didn't want to say anything about detonation as it may or may not call the tune into question. But if you have the plugs out, easy to see. And will soon have the heads off...easy to see...

Jags, do you have a boost controller and control your own boost or do you use factory controlled boost through your tune?

Hey Jag, I am very sorry to hear about this! I am shocked that much coolant came out.

I have a built motor with the ARP studs. My car did not leak coolant, just a small amount of oil was coming from cylinder 4. I am tuned for 94 and that is what I run.

No other damage occured to my motor other than the blown gasket.

Jag, What did John say?

Gt700 fuel system, which is larger injectors, larger fuel lines and I believe a 4 bar fpr.

I have a EBC and it was tuned by the shop with the GIAC software through EVOMS.

Jags, since you are running an EBC, did you check after your pull the highest boost recorded? Not sure if you have the Profec but I know it has this feature to check if you spiked up.

Good advice and could go long and far in troubleshooting what happened...

It's not just the studs ....... it is heat in two particular cylinders. Just like I did with Ben, I can tell you which cylinder it is (without looking). If you are going to be running at these boost levels you need to do some work on the water passages to cylinder #4 and #6 so a so get more coolant to these cylinders. Heat is a big culprit that leads to detonation and these two cylinders lack adequate coolant flow.

I find it amazing, when running these motors with high boost that very few monitor individual head temperatures with the sensors located near these two cylinders.
