TEXAS MILE: This October 16-18

Yeah Lonestar is very laxed about it, but it's 1.5 hours or so for me to get to Though I really can't thank John and crew enough for opening up the 1/4 mile timers for Matt (with only us being the only people to ask Peter and John about it) on a day only for 60-130. But that is why we have to deal with Baytown and them yelling at Matt and I 24/7!
Paulie... Bikes have helmets and leathers... Though I think this year they are going to make them ride in giant hampster ***** so if they fall over they just start rolling.

Do we have to provide our own hampster *****? Should I start scouting the FS section?

Yup, bike and car. Having dragraced bikes for so long, driving fast in a car is hardly a thrill. But it seems I have to bring it. Really more interested in running the bike in a mile...

Your car will prolly produce a higher speed, no?
#96
Hard to say,...very curious though. Bike went 205mph in 1.5 miles. Don't really think I picked up 5mph in 1/2 mile. Pretty sure the car isn't going anywhere near 200. maybe somewhere between 190-195?

Eric I would like to take you up on your generous offer, but I cant let you pay for my C-16. Im not sure why you guys need me to go to Houston to beat you again, but if you insist...I guess I will. Let me know when you are picking up my car, but I think I should be the one to strap it down. Are you going to have your BFF (Woodster) on the side lines in his wife's cheerleader outfit cheering you on? Because we know the only thing he will be running at the mile is his mouth. lol J/K Marty.
As far as beating me here or there - just be glad it's a straight line.

I have run PS2s twice. They have never even looked at my tires during tech inspection. Never noticed rules on tires.

All the tech rules are listed at www.texasmile.net. I've run PS2's 2 times now.

All I could find was DOT approved Z, W, or Y rated but you better look yourself.

From what I've learned, anything EXCEPT super sticky drag tires will work. The harder the compound, the better.
