If resale is of any concern, I wouldn't get any of the aformentioned MB. The E55 is an ok car if you can deal with the numb steering and poor chasis. Not a drivers car at all imo. Anyway, with the CLS coming out, I feel sales from the E55 will be cannablized further affecting resale. As it is, 2003 E55's go for high 60's wholesale, so the typical MB AMG bleeding has begun. Get the RR or a BMW M.

I just picked up a 05 745Li and have to say that its the most comfortable car i have driven. The long wheel base definately adds to the comfort level in the back seats. The V8 provides ample power, cant image the v12, the luxury seating option is a dream for crappy daily comutes or long hauls. I would definately check out the 7 series from BMW.
On a side note, my parents S55 was taken back under the lemon law. Apparently, as it was explained to them, the transmission fluid case had a leak that caused random shorts in the engine harness. I would steer clear from the 55s in any form. Another interesting bit of information i found out during the course of returning the car, according to the laywers at lemonlaw.com, MB has more complaints any other manufacturer.
