Help Me Decide on a new car!

Hey guys,

I am about to sell the Cayenne Turbo, and am looking for a new vehicle. I absolutely LOVE the Cayenne, and unlike many others, have not had a sole problem with it. Its faster than all hell, and it drives great, but it is just time for me to get into something new. I am somewhat like Shank in a way, just on a much lower level , I get in and out of cars fast. I have had 2 Cayennes already, and that is about the limit for now. I really dont know what to get into next, and that is where you guys come in. Not only because you have impeccable taste, but because you are all fellow car nuts, and from who I have met from this board, you are all awesome people. So, here is the rundown. I want to spend anywhere from 0-$75,000.00, and stretching to maybe $80,000. I am pretty young, and am looking for something I can really enjoy, but without killing myself. For that reason, I don't really want something that is terribly fast and what not, but rather something I can go out and cruise around in, Luxo Style . Something with MADDDDDDD pimp factor . So here is what I am thinking; (ps)- every car will be done up nicely, no chrome, all body matched wheels...

a. 2002-2004 Mercedes Benz G500 or G55 AMG (non supercharged)

b. 2003-2004 Mercedes Benz CL500 Sport

c. 2001-2002 Mercedes Benz CL55 AMG (non supercharged)

d. 2003-2004 Mercedes Benz E55 AMG

e. 2005 Hummer H2 SUT

f. 2004 Range Rover

out of those i say RR. We have owned most of your choices and all i can say is i hate MB. Our Range Rover has been great and is definitely the most luxurious of the bunch.

May i suggest waiting for a couple months and getting the new M5 though?

SteveH,

Thanks for the suggestion. I know how it is, MB is a love/hate brand. I personally have owned a few Mercedes and I love them, but I COMPLETELY understand how you don't. The only thing is, we own a car dealership here in Jacksonville, FL and the cars that we sell are Mercedes, Porsche, Lexus. So, I couldn't really pull off a BMW working here, or else I would love to own the new M5. We frequently trade in the new Rover's so I could easily get my hands on one of those, in fact we have a Black 04 right now. I may have to take it home tonight to see how I enjoy it.

Also, this next car will again, be for approx. 4-6 months, and then this time will come again!

Thanks Steve for your comment

maybe you should have included that information in the first place

Seriously though, in that case i'd take the black range rover. There is a guy who lives in my building with a black RR with 20s or 22s that are black centers with polished rims. It looks really good. Ours is Blue with parchment interior. I really like the new SLK55 too but it doesn't seem to fit into your plan. What about an SL500?

I was just in your same situation two weeks ago! I personally chose the Range Rover and love it. It is a huge improvement from the old one and is an awesome vehicle to own! I vote for the RR.

wanna hold off on the Porsche Car for a while...I figure that if I do a 911 or a TT now, I will have nothing to look forward to when I get older!

The SLK55 is an unbelievable machine, but just a tad too small for me. I was thinking about a SL500, but we have an SL65 at our house, so if need be, I can just drive that. Also, after driving that thing, i would always be dissapointed in my SL500

AS far as a black range with black 22" wheels, that is what I would do for sure. We are in this RR pretty cheap, and if I get it, I will have plenty left over for a nice set of wheels for her!

E39 M5, can be had for about $50K w/ low miles or the new E60 M and own the street incl the TT's haha. After laying waste to everything you can stll haul 3 other babes around and a trunk for various sex toys to use w/ fore mentioed ho's. Look to drop close to 90-100K if you want to be the first on the block w/ one though due to you famous car dealer bulsh*t "market adjustment cost" or whatever.
