mixing oil help please!
Hello All,
Long time no see. Have been too busy at work. How are you all doing?
My husband made a mistake that he filled the engine oil into hydraulicoil (just a little bit). What should I do now? Should I need to drain it out or it would be fine for that little engine oil mixed?
Thank you.

Drain the tank. Drain the sump. Change the filter.
Some hydro oils are nasty to the wrong seals such as Pentosin on rubber. Can't be good for the RMS. I'd get it out. An oil change can't hurt.

This should help. You'll have to register, but it's free and a handy site.

I do sincere appreciated to your responses !!!
We went to Porsche dealer today and addressed the problem. They told that drain it out all the way I should be fine.
So he did.
Now, could you please tell me how to check engine oil exactly?
I bought the car for him almost a year, but have not drive that much (I do not even myself have test drive it yet). Therefore.....you are know what I mean
Thank you

Much appreciated for your detailed replied, worss996TT.
Yes I have 2002 996 turbo.
Purchased in used therefore no owner manual is located (actually, am looking to buy one, could not find it any where).
As you posted, does the car have to be turn on or just turn on and let it hot enough then cut off to check the engine oil level?

yes just run the car then let it idle , make sure your parked on a stright surface . then do what ross , said and select check oil with the lever on the left , (while car is idling) then it you will see it count down 5,4,3,2,1, and will show the indicator in bars .depending on how many bars are luminated thats how much oil you have in the car . hope this helps.
