As for the weighting of the individual controls and how they match up to each other individually, I agree with you. The more they're all the same , the better the driving experience. My opinion though is that the clutch is really the only control that is "light" in my car. The brake pedal is "firm", the steering is "heavy" with the AWD, and the ride and cornering is "hard" with X73. So a shifter that feels as solid as bolting a rifle matches up pretty well with the persona of those controls. So in my car, four out of five "controls" match each other, and those four also match the ride/cornering ability of the car.
