Question Want to integrate ipod...

I have a 01 Porsche 911 Turbo with Nav.
I want to intergrate iPod Mini to my car.

Anybody done this before?
I found some sources w/o Nav., wondering if it is the same?

Thanks,
Dale

Not sure how simple or complicated you want to get, but I've been using the itrip with success.

I have iTrip, but the quality of sound is very bad.

I know some people using Becker Aux to connect to the stereo head unit, but I don't know if its the same way for doing it on a Nav.

I've done it on my 02 TT with this:

iceLink

It's wired into the CD-changer inputs on the back of the head unit, so you lose the CD-changer. But, it sounds much better than iTrip.

Sorry - not sure. I would call them up and ask. I'm guessing yes, if you can attach the CD changer.

iTrip is OK, but once you listen to music with a lot of hi-end or low-end, it can't handle it,a nd it becomes interference

if you are worried with sound quality u should def make all ur mp3s into wav format.

That's far from an ideal solution. wav files are much too big in size. If you're going to do that, you might as well just burn it onto a CD and listen to it like a regular CD.

The best solution would be to use a higher bitrate .wma file or an .aac file. Both sound better than MP3 at the equivalent bitrate with similiar file sizes.

If you encode a .wma or .aac file at 256 kbps, it will be of CD quality and still be very reasonably sized.
