My friends new CS
#18
A CS accelerates the same as a stock 996 TT, 993 TT and 2000 Viper RT/10 under 120 MPH. I know, I raced them all. My Ruf is about 5 cars ahead by 120, which is a little more than a GT2 would be. So, for all practical purposes, on the street, these cars accelerate the same.
BTW, if you care to go to 150 MPH or higher, the Ruf is over 10 cars ahead of the CS. However, who usually does that on the street?

I'm surprised a stock X50 will kick his butt in a straight line. I have a friend with a TT and we run pretty even - until we get to higher altitudes where I lose power and he doesn't.

That is one gawkingly beautiful car. I'm loving the black wheels, although I'd just throw on a set of 19" BBS LMs on there for that perfect F1 look. HREs just don't do it justice. No racing heritage.
But still... damn. game over.
does it come with adjustable ride height stock? would hate to cut the springs on that thing.

We all know you hate HRE's.. and the ride height is fine in person. You just can't see where the rubber ends in those pictures..
We plan on taking some together this weekend...

That's because the 19" stock CS wheels are lighter and stronger than the HRE's.

Exactly the point, how many people are racing on the street to 180 mph?? It's more of the feel and the everyday driving. Take the CS on a tight track and watch the 600hpTT fall behind, find out the difference between 3450 lbs. and 2900 lbs. folks..
HP numbers mean nothing but bragging rights, it's all about drivability and handling on the track. Any tard can drive a fast car on the street in a stright line, try it on the track, yes driving your own car(200K) and it's a little bit different than 'Chimp Street Racing'!!!
