Higuys last friday as some of you may know , me and peter (cruves4s) went to check out the carbon fiber hood that was mentioned on a previous post..

here a re the pics of the install, i believe that it is a pretty good fit and the quality is good for the price..

OK I JUST WANT to remind you that the hood that I test fitted was a trial hood and not the actual hood that would be sold to us.. the quality will b emuch better than the one that was fitted on my car..

now here are my pics when me and pete came back form eating

they were actually putting back my original hood when me a dn pete came back, so i had them install the hood again...

here is a pic of the underside

the under side is actual carbonfiber and not fiberglass with a layer of cf on top, as you notice this is a mockup hood and not the actual production one, also as an option we can have the reinforcement made out of carbon fiber too..

 

what was their reasoning for not rolling the edges again? Doesn't look to good w/ them just cut like that. Fitment looks decent, but that's typical w/ the piece they bring in for test fitting

i believe the hood is less than 20lbs..

 

the reason for not rollling it is bec. it didint looked good with it rolled , i saw th efitment with the cut edge and it did actual look good in my honest opinion

here is a pic of the hood again installed on my car but without the hood latch on notice the gap on the front , and if u see the gap is bigger onthe right side compared to the left, the left was too close while the right has a big gap, what needs to be dont o fix the gap is to do an adjustment on the hood hindges by the windshield.

alot of people make a mistake and assume that hoods fit perfectly and without adjustments... you actually have to do soem adjustments to make the hoods fit perfectly..
