Wax suggestions for Artic Silver

Hey guys,

I have an Artic Silver, and I detail my car regularly. I have used a lot of different wax products on different cars such as Mothers, Meguiar, Perma Plate and Zymol. None of them really post fantastic results. My car only has 14,000 miles and the paint condition is smooth, but under lights, there are fine web scratches.

For about a year, I've mainly used Zymol Titanium. Some dude at Super Auto Bacs told me "Titanium" is for silver paints... Now I know it's not true. I want something that can repair my clear coat to that new car finish. I did a little research and came across Zymol Glazur Glaze and Concours. I know there are waxes that cost thousands, but those are not within my budget. What are my other options within $100/$200? Thanks.

Wax won't remove the fine scratches. Go to the detailing section and you'll get replies from the detail experts. I also had fine scratches in mine. I bought a flex buffer and and associated supplies from Moe at Glistening Perfection. I did my car and couldn't be happier. I also did a few of my friend's cars just for practice. Moe is located in SoCal and puts on a detail clinic once a year.

You can have your car polished professionally for 100. Pick an experienced person so they do not ruin your paint, or do it yourself.
I use Zaino products on my arctic silver and love their products.

No wax at any price is going to remove the scratches you speak off...it needs to go through a slight polishing to get rid of the hairlines...

Get a flex polisher from Moe...its a great product.

Wash, clay bar, polish and wax, I like the Glanz wax.

+1

Polish and wax all preference as long as you follow the steps above. I like Klasse products with a top coat of Pinnacle Souverin.

Try using a clay bar and then Zaino's. Check their website, it's a great product.

+1 Zaino

Been happy with their products, been using them for about 6-7 years. To prep the paint you will need a good polish, I used Gloss-It it with great results. Have used Menzerna IP/FP in the past with good results also Then use Zaino when all the imperfections have been buffed out with Porter Cable.

Yep, another vote for a FLEX buffer from Moe and some polish. I am a satisfied customer.

+1 Klasse as the base with P21S on top. Referred to as "fire and ice"
polymer with carnuba on top.
