Red leather interior?

Red leather interior?
I know taste is subjective, but I haven't actually seen the red leather interior and was curious what people thought about it because there is a car I'm looking at online that has it.

Taste is subjective so if you like it get it. Just know that resale of a car with red, gray, tan, or blue is less then that of one in black. If I was you and I wanted that car I would approach the owner, or sales staff as if the red is a turn off and low-ball them.

Haven't seen red in a p-car but I did see it in a silver ferrari and i really liked it there. I didn't like the cinnamon colored interior in the p-car. If you like red go for it, mine is blue and I like it.

I had a 86 Porsche 930 turbo. It was silver with a red interior. Although the interior was more of a lobster color. I liked it but as you say it's all in the eye of the beholder. I can tell you from my experience that selling it will be more difficult since it's a very polarizing color.

Is it all red, or just red seats? I had a Z4 M Coupe with just the seats and door accents in red leather, and the rest (dash, doors, carpet, headliner) in black, and it looked awesome.
I've only seen porsches in monochromatic interiors though and found the red a bit overpowering when it's all over. Better than nephrite green though!

I've never heard of red fading to a salmon color but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen. My 86,930 was 20 years old and the red didn't appear to have faded at all but the car only had 55000 original miles and was probably stored indoors its entire life.

I think red in a white or silver body is cool and even a tad retro.
if, as some suggest, you might need to make concessions if you ever decide to sell, perhaps you'll get a good deal now to make up for some of that concession down the road?

It's supposedly the "Terracotta" color and let me just say, it was pretty INTENSE in person. I could maybe do the seat leather and little bits of the dash that color -- but the whole dash and steering wheel
Not for me.

10 years ago my dad had a boxter with the boxter red interior, it actually was pretty cool. I drove it some and didn't mind the red at all, it worked well with all the black accents and black exterior - I'm not sure I'd like it as much on a car that was not black though.
*edit* just checked the link...maybe its just the pictures but that color looks like its got to much orange in it. I don't think it matches well with the silver painted center section. Black carpet + black center it might work better.

I have a silver 996tt with boxster red and love it - The combo gets a huge amounty of compliments in an otherwise common outside color. It is a nice brick red but you have to see it in person since more pics (as the one on the ebay link) look more redish. Mine is also more toned down since it has the carbon package (wheel, brake, shifter) and I replaced the red mats with black ones. I think it looks fantastic if the outside color is neutral (eg white black or silver)
