Has nothing to do with that. Basic problem is that the 911 still uses architecture that is 40 years old, although extremely well sorted out. The body structure is not as stiff as new "clean sheet" cars so the suspension must be relatively stiffer to compensate for that to ensure expected sports car handling . Stiffer suspensions generate more body structure vibrations which make it hard to tune out all potential rattles / creaks/squeaks of touching internal materials .

The new ZO6 will be a typical vette. It will set the standard for the performance per dollar spent. I've owned five and they all were great cars. I run the **** out of them, and they took it well! I never kept one longer then a couple of years though. I can't wait to get one of the new ZO6's!

Wow this was not the expected result. Basically many on this board agree that the Vette is great car. This was not my perception or expectation at all!

Thanks for the input!

For what it is worth, I spent a good deal of time two weeks ago at Willow Springs big track with my 02 X50....I became fast friends with a guy who was running an 02 Z06....Reason we became friends was that we were running very close to each other around the track...granted he had a few mods, suspension, engine etc. but the Z06's if driven well are always formidable....For the money, they are a great choice....Very dependable too....

I think you will find a more mature group of sports car enthusiasts here who appreciate all fun cars , no matter it's country of origin or price tag. All we ask is that a car stay true to it's heritage , market positioning and brand image and not turn into a poseur ! Every car has it's" issues" , no matter it's price. Internet boards can become mutual admiration/ self esteem stroking /griping/ bench racing Grands Prix sessions sometimes , but we are all in the same boat as passionate enthusiasts, hated by the tree huggers .
