+1. There are no stock 490hp X50 cars either.
Keep up the good work though.

This car was completely bone stock. We were surprised too but our dyno never lies. Some have even called our dyno a bit on the low side. All we know is what when the Hp numbers are compared to trap speeds they are dead on where they should be. I have poked around quite a bit and from what I have read the X50 package is underrated for HP. There have been estimates that its closer to 490....but that is just rumor. Again all we can go by is what the car puts down for power on our dyno.

Eric
^^ Agreed.

Nice gains from your setup!!

Right. As long as you dyno THIS car on THIS dyno, the increases should be proportionate...

Exactly.

Dyno's are tuning tools. If doesn't matter if the baseline reads 100 or 1000. We should all be looking at % gains.

Using the same car on the same dyno is really the only way to get a true compare of performance and this was done here!

I'm in love with your Cross Ti exhaust, but that is a wish-list item of the highest order for me. Did you guys take some time to weigh the exhaust assembly before installing it?

Frank@AMS is infamous around these parts
I know some of you were asking about the spool characteristics of these turbos vs. stock K16s. We were able to get a stock K16 car on our dyno for comparison. The results were awesome. It turns out that the AMS Billet K16s spool THE SAME as stock K16s!!! Here is a dyno sheet for your viewing pleasure.

That doesn't make much sense... I am also interested in the trap speeds.

Cheers,

Allen,

If you haven't seen the thread, the car went 133.3mph in the 1/4. Check out this thread:

FWIW, I've noticed more and more Mustang dynos popping up that dyno higher than dynojets.

They spool a little bit quicker because of the exhaust on that graph. I'll try to get a graph with the Billet K16s utilizing the stock exhaust.
