Classic post!ROLMFAO!
Well it was an interesting event to say the least. Damn near everyone was first class from 6speed It really does help to put a face to a name, it is just going to be so hard to be a dick to you guys now...Topgun excluded( more on that later in the post)....
TX clearly lived up to its rep as a no BS state, the mile was an exhilirating experience and a humbling one as well. For the first time in a long time the cars talked louder than the hype, and that was a good thing.
To the HTown crew, you are a classy bunch. Peter, Todd, Ben, Chris Paulie( you are the only one who looked like I expected BTW...Walnuts thru and thru) Mike from CT was great. Art , you seem like a humble ,down to earth guy.... Eric and Marty were great... Changing gears now, the ****** from Brooklyn, Topgun.....
I officially ask you to relieve yourself of the position of Joe's handmaiden so that I may now, officially, become the EVOMS *****. I grovel at you greatness and tremble at the sound of your name. I am man enough to admit the defeat at your hands was swift, unequivocal and so thorough that even I, KPG, the purveyor of quality wit and biting sarcasm for the 6 do hereby admit I have no good material for this situation. My first reaction was to claim I missed a gear, nah, DocRob has patented that excuse besides there is no way to claim I missed gears on 12 runs. I could have sworn I would have kicked your butt if it wasnt for the valve spring, damn, VR beat me to that excuse. This leaves me with little atlternatives to spin this situation other than to say....Damn, I opened up some serious whoop a$$ on those Mustangs.... Its all good, there are no hard feelings.. Thanks for the great time!

Question for you gents and just to get an idea in comparison of one setup to the other... 18/24 setup with all supporting mods in the mile compared to 16/16 setup with the same supporting mods and of course, mile results.
Someone have a bottom line on the two with a decent driver?
Really appreciate it!
Cheers,
Allen

Can someone help me understand how a clutch is slipping after the first run yet the car keeps running faster every run after that?
#261
Yes,my car went 224 decellerating(I got out of it due to the heavy cross winds on Fri)as I crossed the mile.I was at 230.7 at 4360 ft mark(no bull!!I will post the driftbox file as soon as I can get it uploaded) with 920 ft of track left.It ran 14.3 sec to 186 mph(300km) with a tire burning 1/8 mile. The new setup Evoms put together for me is on a totally different level than my previous mile setup.I am going to overlay the driftbox file over my previous mile run so everyone can see how dramatically faster the car is now.
It's possible you were going faster. On my 226.2 mph run (Ford GT) my Vbox showed 220 as top speed. On other runs in was low by 5mph.

Have a great day

if you ran a durametric or other logger software you could match your highest rpm in final gear with tire diameter and get an exact speed at your peak 4/5ths of a mile into it, joe

I suspect a 16/16g car would run in the 193 area all things being equal. A 24/18g car 195-198. These are just estimates from what we saw this weekend.
Nice! Keep us posted on this Joe.

What are you talking about? Please get a grip The post to Tom was a joke, you know humor? He is a close friend and I have met him many times and probably talked to him on the phone daily for the last few years... no need to get all serious

instead of just powering through 3rd-5th gently roll through the gears non full throttle and then hit it in 6th, was the procedure used in this application
