Jason,

You are correct. At 5,280 feet, you hit 223.45 according to the P-box. Joe's P-box data showed a similar difference, as did Todd's and Ben's data.

I'm getting the impression that either the TX Mile speed traps read slightly high, or the P-box reads slightly low. Compared to dragstrip timing lights, the P-boxes are pretty much dead-on accurate, so I don't what to make of it.

Regardless, they are definitely close.

I updated the 60-130 list with your 4.52 (great job, by the way), and will add your TX Mile run to the list as well. For fun, here is an overlay of your run along with Joe's run. Your run is the red line.

Great job, bro!

We also could see this from the in car video. You still had 466 feet to go. From what we can calculate, based on your rate of acceleration from the v-box, you could have hit between 235 to 237 MPH with a full and steady run to the 5280 foot mark without the roof problem. We are finishing the video now and we will post it here shortly.

Thank you all for your comments and it was great to meet everyone. Glad everyone is safe and I look forward to another event like this soon.

Art, Betim and all that were involved with the BBI team, I never got a chance to congratulate you all on your achievement. The speed you guys ran was amazing. GREAT JOB!!!!

Todd,

You mentioned on the phone that you got some data on the GT2 before you went ahead and got it dirty.

Interesting to see how close the cars are. Isn't Joe's car putting down 1250hp+?

If so I wonder why his car needs more hp than mine to us get juuuust about the same numbers? number of shifts? Aero? gearing? wheelspin (I only spin at the end of first and once it does I put it in 2nd and the spinning is over)? Just thinking out loud here.

uhhh? he was at 230 mph at 4900 ft. That takes a hell of a lot more power than you got. He went through the traps at 224, SIDEWAYS

jb - one thing that is evident in the overlay is that you hooked fairly well and Joe was spinning like crazy. Look at his acceleration G's compared to yours...you basically lay into it, and the car goes...whereas Joe's car is smokin' the tires like crazy. Look at his acceleration G's...up and down and up and down. If you look at the higher MPH, you can see Joe's car gains and walks yours. Having said that, cars with that much power accelerate so quickly that you don't have much time to "walk" someone. In any event, your car is smoking! My last Supra ran a 4.51 60-130 so I know exactly what that feels like, congrats!
