Blew my motor! :(

J ,
Really sorry to hear this man. Did you have upgraded injectors and fuel pump? One my friend and forum member wrecked his car about a few weeks ago. I can pm you his contact, that way you can locate his motor from a salvage yard and buy it...just a thought, not sure if this is the best approach. He had a 60k miles k24/18g injectors motor.

I thought he posted earlier that he saw low 12's...which seems OK, if that's true...even for these motors that typically like it a little leaner...

looks ok, but the timing looks aggresive (if it is what's in the 3rd column)

I have in now way pointed a finger towards my tune being the problem. Obviously, some people in this thread talk about my timing being off, but I have no idea what those numbers mean... I've emailed Todd about my situation and look forward to hearing what he has to say. Outside of that, my next step is most likely to open the motor up to see what really happened.

I do oil changes often as well... tow truck guy was like, damn your oil is clean! but maybe the 91 + meth isn't as efficient as I presumed it would be?

Tune??? He was on low boost and 4500rpm....Mechanical is my guess. Majority of the engines break on high boost with big torques. TurboMike has been running 100%meth since early 90's. He has tuned Grand Nationals over 1500whp with Meth, never been an issue. Just my 2 cents.

You've stated here a few times that you are at the 550whp level. Is that dynotuned or a guess? That seems like a very high HP level for stock injectors. Are you sure you have stock injectors? Or did you mean 550 crank HP?

I agree Art. Of course, there are so many things that could've gone wrong, but as I stated earlier, I do not believe the tune nor the install were the reasons why this came about. I didn't start this thread to point fingers. I wanted some input from guys that have done motor builds, and some feedback from people that have gone down this road before. The car was not under load at the time this happened... but this definitely could've been the product of the stress i put on this engine over a long period of time.
I dyno'd 553.9 rwhp 3 weeks ago with Todd right next to the car on a Dyno Dynamics at BBi, so it's not a guess. The car definitely made power. He said I had plenty of fuel due to the meth injection. Injectors and a push thru maf was my next step.
