Ok so i wanted to start a little survey
Who is running Meth and who is running E85?
how do you like it?
Costs for maintenance?
and what have you seen in benefits.
thanks guys in advance i want everyone to be aware of the pro's and con's of both setups

Corey, if you meant E85 you gotta make sure you have those near your gas station b/c there is only 5 in California. They are pretty much the same concept. Best person for E85 is ChrisGreen for this set up. Methanol has to be done right and it works based on TurboMike's both 993tt and 996tt(both running solid). Tony @ EPL has a lot of hands on with the Meth kit as well. Hope this helps bro.

corey to run e85 you will need to redo your whole fuel system , and i dont know how available it is up your way , it would suck if you have to fill up and you cant find any gas stations if your out and about...
also i think justin n, had told me once that in the cold e 85 actually down grades , but dont hold me to that ..

Why would you be redoing the whole system for E85? Pumps and injectors sure but you make it sound like everything else goes and that shouldn't be the case.
Given a choice, and given availability, I'd do E85 - and this from a proponent of Meth injection! Sadly no serious E85 availability around my way and a trip would be out of the question :-( Would be nice to be able to use a fuel sensor and run either!

Not true at all. Alcohol and methanol are very similar in physical property's and different in how they react in motors.
I prefer E-85 over them all as with alcohol injection there is always the likely hood that the system can fail.
I have made a post on here about this before but I will do it again.
When you look at physical properties of meth and water water is actually better for cooling in terms of latent heat.
Latent heat vaporazation in Alcohol is 855 kJ/kg and water is 2260 kJ/kg at 100c so the potential for water to absorb more of the heat energy is much greater. Methanol has a greater latent heat than alcohol depending on temperature. Compared at 100c it is around 1000 kJ/kg
I have done meth, water, alchohol, E-85 for years. I run E-85 in my WRX and I love it. They all work well.

The term alcohol covers everything from methanol, ethanol, ethanol, isopropanol, decanol and everything else that has an -OH bond to it, except carboxylic acids.
I've run methanol injection with success, but if I were to do it again, I wouldn't go through the trouble with tuning. Leave your car stock the way it is... porsche has done their hw.

We're just counting carbon atoms at this point .... oh, and where the OH group sits (e.g. Isopropyl a.k.a "rubbing alchohol"; 3-carbons and the OH on the middle one.)

Are you saying this for volume's sake or because you feel that there's some issue with this fuel in the OEM fuel system?
