So I installed the Cargraphic Super Sound exhaust. It sounds pretty nice, although the fit and finish aren't the best. The exhaust has already turned a yellowish hue. The exhuast comes in two pieces and must be clamped in the middle. Where the middle is clamped had to be pushed higher than the outside of the exhaust canister to clamp the two ends together. This causes the middle of the exhaust canister where it is clamped to be higher than the sides of the cannister. The middle is high and the rest of the cannister slopes downward from middle to each end. One of the tips also doesn't completely fit on the outlit. What gives, should I request a new one, can I get a new one or will the seller say that is normal too bad. On a side note, I ordered from Meridian and Matt was a nice guy. Also, as the rpm's rise, the exhaust note turns from a low rumble into more like a motorcross bike. One more thing, the exhaust is stamped (Phoenix as the manufacturer and then has a Cargraphic part number)

Interesting thing. On my car the EP stage 2 loud was pretty quiet and did not sound that great. I sold the exhaust and the person I sold it to has an X50 turbo. On his car, the exhaust is much louder and sounds much better, why would that happen?? Also, his only upgrade is the exhaust. He used to hit .9 bar occassionally and now, he hits 1.0 steady and even hit 1.1 for a short burst. I was in the car with him, and couldn't believe it. How is that possible. If he is hitting 1.0 and 1.1, and I am upgrading to the stage 2 evo software as we speak which is supposed to increase my boost to the same levels, does that mean he is running 500+ hp with just an exhaust upgrade?? That happened with me as well. When my car was stock I added just the Fabspeed and divertor valves. My car was an X50 and I would get 1.0 bar of boost as well as a spike of 1.1. When I dynoed the car it made about 18 rwhp from just the exhaust!

 

My supersound came yellowish too. I think that's the way they are. Pictures of the exhuast, not installed, from the Gemballa (they use this exhaust too) site show a nice stainless steel color. Anyhow, the middle is a bit higher compared to the 2 sides. If you log on to www.gemballa.com, you can look at their cars with this exhaust installed. Mine at high rpm's have this high "scream" kinda sound.

 

I dunno, my exhaust's fit and finsih seem way off, like it was done in someone's garage. Again, I highly doubt if Cargraphic Germany saw the product installed on my car they would be very happy with their manufacturer, at least on this particular exhaust.
