The 997 tranny mount is what you want as posted by Mike. Go to Pelican parts and you will see they no longer carry the 996 version (look at part #).

Ok guys. I got my test drive in. I can definitely feel more tightness in the car, but it doesn't feel any more harsh with road feedback. My journey included stage: (1) PSS9's, (2) H&R sways front/rear and, (3) updated tranny mount and 997 SS Wevo motor mounts. What's next?, Motons? I think I'm done and I know I'm happy.

Dtmarsh did you fill the 997 tranny mount up or just install it stock?

did you notice any improvements in the ability to shift at high rpms?

D'oh! I just replaced mine with new stockers. I wish I had read this thread beforehand. Maybe I'll do this one soon anyways... These upgrades are neverending!

Great info, guys, thanks!

Mike is this the tranny mount you purchased? It looks like a stock replacement and not an upgrade. Is that right?

Ty Mike the was the missing "link" to doing an motormount up grade. I'm getting the Wevo and the 997 tranny mount.

I started following this thread because I was interested in motor mounts for my 997tt. Does the idea of replacing the tranny mounts apply in a 6sp 997tt as well?

Thanks.

I also have a 997TT and thinking upgrading the engine mount to enhance response.

After reading this thread, it just helped alot. Thx for the opinions. Seems like wevo is the way to go. Just looked at the 997SS. But anyone know the difference between this 997SS from wevo and the factory RS(assumed 997GT3RS?) mount?

Thx again for all the experienced user here.

The Wevo Black is slightly softer than the blue. From my understanding about 10% difference is all. The wevo also has incredible craftsmanship compared to the others. The amount of eurethane inside the wevo's is so minimal it is hard to believe that it does anything. it is nearly a solid.
i wonder where the new wevo 997 ss fall in you chart as far as stiffness goes?
