Sport Suspension
Hi,
What is the different between a sport suspension and nonsport suspension on a 996TT? I was told I have a sport suspension and it needs to be replaced. Is sport suspension has a more aggressive setting? Sorry if the question is a noob question.
Thanks,
TC

Mr. Buzz,
This noob actually knew about those links and I don't have my code inventory at work right now. Mechanic told me I have sport suspension and I was surprise since I don't remember it being on the list of options.

Actually the sport suspension is the X-73 option. I don't think the M030 applied to the 996 turbo. If you are going to replace it - my personnel choice would be PPS10's. Others will have different opinions.

for street use the general concensus seems to be pps10's, thats what i'm convincing myself i need

I only need one right now and my mechanic told me the warranty only covers one. Does that sound weird? He is going to place it with Bleisten (sp). When time comes, I will upgrade the suspension and do it myself and save $1500 since he quoted $3K for all 4s.

i found pss9's for 1540 but need to call them and make 100% sure they are for the turbo, it clearly states they are but it seems a little too good to be true

I just chatted with those guys (Speedycars). Even though they have six different PSS10 kits listed for the 996TT, NONE of them are the right item.
My chat with them:
me: I see six different kits all labeled PSS10 that fit my car on your site - the prices vary from 1540. to 2222.
speedycars:I apologize but we currently do not stock the part you are looking for. I would suggest contacting your local dealer or parts store. Is there anything else I can help you with today?
me:So none of those six that are listed are the correct item?
speedcars:No
me: ok, thanks, maybe you guys should fix the site... it's kinda of incorrect.
sc: Sorry for the inconvenience

The correct Bilstein part number is: F4-GM5-E715-H1 (from Bilsteins site)
