What brand of gas does everyone use??

Just curious on if anyone is biased towards one brand of gasoline compared to the others. I personally have only used Chevron Techron 91 for my car. I don't think I'd ever put ARCO or rotten robbie gas in my 996TT unless it was an emergency. I was thinking about switching over to Shell Vpower because its like 10 cents less than the techron, but wanted to hear your opinions first.

Gas is gas, all suppliers do is attach a nice slogan and add chemical detergents/additives to their gas and sell it for more.

I use whatever is cheapest and near me, which is an Arco station. I have put this gas in all my previous high performance vehicles with no issues. One of them being an W211 E55 AMG and the other an NSX.

My TT runs great with any 91 octane gas

Arco gas? I would rather push my car to another gas station.

Most important is the octane rating. Acro's base gas is probably the same as all the other suppliers. None of my vehicles ever has any issues with Arco fuel.

I use the Wal-Mart station cause it is close. I think it is a Williams or something... It is 93 octane. I prefer Shell, but they only have 91 octane now for some reason...

That gave me a quick laugh for the day. Thanks. Personally, I either use the Shell V Power or Mobile 1. (93) They may all be the same, but I'm a creature of habit, and blow far more than the incremental cost of "better gas" on stupid things on a daily basis. If the extra $400 per year is a placebo that only makes me think things are better, I'm fine with that. On the offchance that it is helping my $40,000 engine, all the better.

EDIT: My quick math was assuming 1,000 gallons/year and a $.40 discount. I don't use anywhere near that much fuel, and the difference in price isn't that bad. The "good gas" probably costs me much less than $200/year, now that I think about it.

I generally go for Shell gasoline on the sole purpose when im on their oil projects its mostly american working or skilled europeans. good people in good jobs, and shell has the tightest requirements for their oil pumping lines are far as quality. BP and Chevron a close second as far as supporting american jobs.

Shell n Chevron and 76/philips 66 all seem to have similar quality gas i think tis more how long the gas sits in each station before you pump. i try to never fill up at places that i dont think would sell quite a bit of premium if im gonna be pushing the car.

I've had a bad experience with ARCO. Not sure if its that specific station, but I put their 91 octane in my E36 M3 w/ Dinan software and it ran like crap until I put some techron in there. Maybe just an isolated case, but it made a huge impression on me.

Gas is gas in CA. I use MS VP 109. If you get a batch of bad gas it may be from the gas stations dirty gas tanks underground.
