My P-0507 fault code has been solved!!!
OK, so my P-0507 problem has been solved. At the Mile this year, I popped a check engine light and the car has been idling high and running kinda funny. After a scan, it turned out to be a P-0507 code (Idle control at stop). After a boost leak test and a smoke test, I found a leak. I had already had the engine lowered and intake and airbox off the car. I removed the throttle body and found a hose on the left side had popped off of a tiny plastic vacuum line. I know it doesn't look it, but tough to grab and tough to work with, but after 15 minutes of wresting, I won. Picture 1 is of the problem, picture 2 is my fix. Car runs awesome now.

Do you know how it played into that popping sound you described?

Congrats, Mike! Identifying and then fixing an unknown, nagging problem is a HUGE relief. I've been there myself, bro...

No. I didn't hear it when I was out the other night? I did learn however, that I need to keep my PSM OFF no matter what.

Yes Mark, exactly. If I ever get my manifold off, I will zip them all like that. I did ziptie the one I could reach (the one that popped off).

On highway rollon's my car was sort of "laying over". As I was accelerating, it would continuously hesitate and go again. At the same time it would "layover", it would go pig rich, like 10.5-10.8 (looking at my Brockway 1000). If I turn my PSM off, it doesn't do it. I had a conversation with my tuner and my Indy yesterday and learned that my car was likely having traction issues (spinning?) when PSM "kicks in" (whether it is on or not), it closes the throttle body and kills spark. It goes rich because the map sensor is OUTSIDE the TB and still sees boost, and is still adding fuel for that short time. That explained the dark cloud behind my car as I was sputtering down the highway. So it seems whenever I "need" to drive aggressively, PSM OFF!!!
