Vividracing Stage 2 versus Switzer L2 for 996TT

Thanks Dan, you as well.
As for K16 billet not matching the K24 hybrid, we shall see... Keep in mind I would not run a K16 at 2 bar either...
If you are looking for the best of the best, ultimate spool and top end package, I would suggest our P800.
We designed the "Best Value Packages" to be just that, the best value you can get for the money. For roughly $6K, you get everything you need to make 600hp.
The plain truth is that the K24 hybrid, no matter how you look at it, is ancient technology, spools real slow, and makes roughly the same top end power as our custom Alpha's, so if you are headed for that direction, do yourself a favor and go with the Alpha's.
If anyone has any questions, feel free to e-mail me or give us a call.

Everyone has their own opinions, so do some research on SPI. To my knowledge, you won't find a single dissatisfied customer. There are cheaper kits out there for sure, but the quality, R&D, results, and feedback are inconsistent at best. You get what you pay for. And SPI has a ton of happy international customers.
Good luck.
Good luck.

I'm curious, why is it that in almost any thread where Vivid posts you grind an axe and go after them? So far I've not seen any real reason for it given other than vague insinuations so I'm wondering if this is a personal thing or what? Have they somehow done you wrong on your 996? What's the basis for the hatred? ... What is it?

I have to chuckle at the 600 hp for 6K. That's great. I can remember back in early 2004 when my car was featured in Excellence ....... Clear for Take Off.
We were making about 640 rwhp and that was really something back then. Trouble was, it cost a hell of a lot more than 6K.

Isn't it great what technology has enabled us to do CJV?
As for OhioGT2, he didn't really name names in his post, so I wouldn't jump to conclusions too quickly on his post. He is a straight up guy and as it may come off as hatred to you, I'm pretty sure it's all based on his own experiences as well. I may be wrong, so who knows!

Generic question about GIAC
I have a GIAC flash and a few other mods and am very pleased. See my signature.
However at some point in the future I may opt to upgrade the some component - most likely the turbos.
Question - how would this impact my GIAC flash ?
Would I need a re-tune / flash and if so would I get discount / credit as I've already paid my entrance fee to the GIAC club ?

Tim,
GIAC is a more general flash, our L2 is designed, tested, and tuned to be used with all of the components in that package, in order to work as a package effectively to deliver not only the "power" but the performance and experience. Long story short, you will need a reflash, at least if you go with us that is...

I admit there's a shop or two I would advise against but I've got pretty solid reasons and I don't just chase them around from thread to thread so your beef must be worse. What is it?
ITS ALWAYS GOOD TO HAVE SOMEONE HONEST IN HERE LIKE OhioGT2

Its true that Switzer is absolutely top notch, no question about that. I don't think anyone is better at producing very, very fast and reliable Porsche's.
However, I , and many others have also been pleased w/ the products from Dan.

I have had only limited contact w/ Vivid so I can’t say much about them. They have a great web site and are very friendly to deal w/. They seem to have done a very good job when it comes to putting things together for the consumers who want to mod their cars/Porsche.
I have had quite a bit of contact w/ Neil. He is a Great guy who has been very helpful and his stuff seems top self.
I would suggest for you to talk to the tuner and get to know him and then get familiar w/ his products and why he does what he does as opposed to how some1 else gets the same HP a different route.
Then look at customer service, availability of the tuner to ask questions, and then the attention to detail and craftsmanship of the products. Get all this information and then look at the price. You are buying more then just an ECU upgrade and some bolt on products. You are buying a complete package of service, philosophy, and the ability to add to the mods later. It has a value greater then just the $ you will pay up front or at lease it does to me.
This place has some great Tuners and products on it. Find the person who works w/ you the best while understanding your goals and budget. Who gives you honest answers to what you are asking.
Good luck w/ your purchase.
