Vividracing Stage 2 versus Switzer L2 for 996TT

I agree that is seems physically impossible for a smaller turbo to push as much air as a larger one. Tuning is a key, but the only factor I can see to make that really happen, is running more boost.

Quote - i agree bro, at first i was still trying to save some $$ so i try to have it welded from a local welder but after he started the inner plastic melted. sorry the pics but i have 17 more rod ends that have no weld marks. my apology for telling half the story. i was being cheap by trying to weld them together but it didnt work.

Quote - Dan gave me 50% credit for the rear adjustable links, so I decided to apply the credit for new set of toe steers.
Thanks Dan for the post.

Considering they're fitting newer wheels with ETT and 20 more years of R&D into them vs an early 80s Mitsu 18g wheel & it doesn't seem so hard to believe to me. The 16 hotside may hold them back a bit but, as AMS had logged backpressure, probably not at the boost/power levels many of us are/would be running.

I agree...but air and fuel is air and fuel. A 16g is very comparable in performance to the 18g except way up top, and at very close to the same boost levels. it is the hotside that is the limiting factor. I think the newly designed hotsides are more efficient. The recent Billet K16 dyno's are very close to my 18g dynos at relatively the same boost.

I have spoken with the Switzer guys on the phone, and was impressed. I plan on doing business with them in the near future. I recently made a purchase from Vivid, and although I haven't installed my parts yet, I am very impressed with their operation in every respect. Dan went above and beyond the standard for me. I would recommend both to businesses to anyone. JMO

I was going to keep my opinion to myself but I've decided to chime in. I've dealt with Dan/Vivid close to a dozen times now and not a single one of those experiences has been anything less than spectacular. Anything I've had even resembling some sort of issue/dilema has been proactively solved by Dan personally.
There are so many keyboard warriors out there it just frustrates me to no end. The fact is we are all men (for the most part) and we are all trying to make a living to support ourselves and our families etc. Dan is no different and a stand up guy who can take a jab or two if they are delivered in good taste. The low blows delivered in this thread are childish and immature. The Switzer gang is top notch. I've had correspondence with a couple of the Switzer guys and they really do know their stuff.
Vivid and Switzer are two totally different operations in my eyes though. Point and case: Dan sells Switzer products as well as numerous other brands. I don't think Dan has ever created any illusions about products he sells. I really would be totally shocked if the people who have had issues with anything they bought from Vivid would be unhappy if they actually approached Dan about the issue in a timely manner or before trying to remedy the problem themself. As with everything there is always two sides to a story.
OhioGT2, Jamie, I think it is. Regardless of whether or not it's intentional you do seem to have it out for Dan. This isn't me going after you or calling you out, its just how it appears. I'd bet on it that you haven't made all that money that pays for the impressive cars you typically build by being close minded. If you met Dan I bet your song would change quickly. Although thats if Dan can take the time away from hustlin cell phones.
