local fella here thats a bit of a poor soul just purchased a ZR1 and thinks its the fastest thing on earth, hes talking all sorts of smack about running me etc etc, i was blowing it off but now hes getting a bit personal and is getting under my skin so its on!! planing on this weekend , will run him at 1.6 bars on straight c16 ... stay tuned for vid coverage.

when is this race going down?? if he is stock you would beat him on a pump gas tune...if he really wants his feelings hurt stock 997gt2 kills a stock zr1 in a drag race...im still trying to get a race with a zr1 i think in a drag race on the street my k24 996 gt2 will beat one.. good luck cant wait for the vid!!

Stock for stock, a ZR1 is faster, but a 997 GT2 is a FAR better car.

Should be no problem for you my friend.. Just dont get suckered into anything that could be his perfect Race.. while you have him covered most ways i have run into the guys that like their race ONLY.. From a DIG hes dead.. from a roll that passes 160 on top hes really dead.. The zr1 wont pull 5th gear at all and 6th gear they look like they are on 4 flat tires.. Good luck!!

Yah I live near Hershey. Do you ever go to the meets around this area? I'm supposed to race a 550whp vette when he gets his car back together. There is apparently a yellow GT2 in the area with bolt-ons. Have you ever come across the 850whp black C6? That thing is beastly.

Mike you might be thinking about the gearing in the Z06 not the ZR1. The gearing in the ZR1 is totally different. It will pull to red line in 6th...the Z06 drops considerably in the rpm range when going into 5th hence the weak pull. Even so he will slaughter a stock ZR1 with his modded GT2.
Hell I'd even give the guy the move just to pour salt in the wound...
