ZR1 considered a close ratio 6 speed:

1st (2.29), 2nd (1.61), 3rd (1.21), 4th (1.00), 5th (0.81), 6th (0.67), final drive 3.42

Z06 considered a close ratio 4 speed:

1st (2.66), 2nd (1.78), 3rd (1.30), 4th (1.00), 5th (0.74), 6th (0.50), final drive 3.42

--------------------------------

The Z06 is at 160mph at the top of 4th (7100rpms). Not sure about the ZR1.

He probably really thinks he will win. I bet if he doesn't browse the forums he has no clue as to what the aftermarket can do to these cars.

Like a lot of guys he likely buys a mag and then believes his car is king.

Can't wait!

You will have him covered no problem, I just hope he isn't a sneaky bastard and is in his garage right now doing what I would do to win ( installing sneaky pete 200 shot)

I'm definitely subscribed. Can't wait for the beat down. I say, make it straight out humiliating. I'm talking nothing but tail lights that keep growing smaller and smaller the further down the strip you go. Don't even give him the satisfaction of thinking he could stay with you at slower speeds. Full boost & C16 NICE!!!! Keep it safe and together. I'm looking forward to the vid(s)

GM doesn't make a RHD ZR-1, so in countries with RHD as the norm, the ZR-1 will falter, on the track, drag strip, runway or whatever.

That is the reason the GT2 was gaining between shifts combined with the long throw of corvette shifters. Add launch control on the GT2 on a dusty runway and that's a very realistic result. Can't blame the drivers for that.

The GT2 would probably run faster ET that the ZR-1 in most people's hands, especially the worse the conditions are.

Heavy your right...however...this never ceases to amaze me.

You would think reputable magazines or "performace" automotive shows would at least have someone capable of driving each car to it's fullest capabilities...why put someone in a LHD that is use to driving a RHD car and visa versa. Makes no sense to me so these shows lose credibility big time...

Long throw of the ZR1...? Put me in the car I'll show you how long it takes to grab the next gear...!! That guy was a joke. I'm just sayin'.
