john you guys aren't slowing down with the mods on your car. do take some more pics --- let me give you two more mods worth thinking of: orange tpms hardwired, LI 8th gen for an added countermeasure with you V1.

dfwerdoc,

Already have the TPMS hardwired. I'll see if my dad can get some pics of my install. Oh and we already have something planned as far as fuzz countermeasures.

I'm gonna beat my dad to the punch and post a picture. He will have some better ones I am sure. The light is playing tricks with the paint but he says its a perfect match. Anyways...Here it is, fresh out of the body shop

Here's the pics for you guys! I'm very pleased. A little story: I went to the Interstate battery distributor where they'll install a new battery for free. I pulled into the work bay and a young kid (about 20) comes running over to shake my hand. I said, "What for?" He said that this was the first GT2 he's ever seen and just wanted to. I said it really wasn't a GT2 but I was glad to shake hands with someone so young that knows cars as well as he does. He left beaming from ear to ear. Will check back in a few hrs.

John

PS Forgot to mention the fiberglass parts were from Precision Porsche. The body guy said the front bumper fit perfectly and the rear wing only needed very slight modification.

While it's down in Houston with Vivid TX, I need to start planning on the carbon fiber interior and the alcantara seats/steering wheel. I was going to send in the wheel to Dallas steering wheel so that's pretty much locked in. I was hoping that our local Fisher auto trim could do the seat trims. I'd like to put alcantara in that center section and leave the side bolsters in leather much like a 997 GT3 has. Any ideas?

Then, the carbon fiber stuff. We were going to get the brake handle from those guys in LA that do wrecks. They have one in stock. Open for suggestions for the other stuff. Would like to do all the major stuff in the interior. We've looked at ROtec so far.

John

I love the 996 carbon interior, but as owner of a full carbon interior, what i hate is that over time the trim piece bent or get unglued a bit. that is annoying. So after a while it doesn't look perfect anymore. That said, I love the way the carbon interior look like.
