How can a vendor replace a (hypothetically speaking) defective wheel if they have no stock to replace it with and the distributor and/or manufacturer is non-responsive? At which point, the distributor/manufacturer typically shoulders the responsibility to set the issue straight. In this regard, Forged DST seems to be lacking.

I'm also in the market for wheels. Things like quality customer service, quick response time, effective and direct communication, and assurance that my concerns will be heard and acted on if/when they occur are reasons why I can justify paying a premium for purchasing new, higher end wheels. These are not qualities I'm seeing from Forged DST... my $.02

Anyway, glad that you (and presumably others) are happy with your purchase. Their designs look fantastic! But as a prospective customer, I'm inclined to go elsewhere until Forged DST shows appropriate follow through. Until then, we're lucky to be able to shop other options.

1badgt2, sorry to hear about your situation. Please keep us updated!
Guys, thanks for all of your support!!!!

However, I want to be VERY clear...I am not trying to be a whiner...it is not in my character to do so. And, as you can see from my project car, money is not my issue. However, I get very irritated when people take advantage of others, and I feel I have been taken advantage of. I also do not mean to be causing so much trouble on this thread or forum, but I think it is important for others to be aware of bad...or certainly questionable...situations. As for me sending a PM to these guys...I ask why?...I have already spent a year dealing with "Jordan"...or whatever your name is. If you want to help me, then state on this forum publicly what you wish to do. Let EVERYONE know your intentions so that we can ALL be aware of your business practices and allow you to clear the name. If you are not interested in making your intentions public, then I have no use for your company or your money. This is strictly about principle and how you should treat other people...nothing else. I am sure that no matter what level our membership is at economically...we all earn our money. None of us, wealthy or otherwise, are interested in spending it on poorly run businesses who show poor service and lack integrity.

Happy holidays to all of the forum members and I personally wish you a very SAFE holiday for you and your families.

^^^^ What you are saying makes perfect sense, and it is all about the principle and nothing to do with the money aspect. I hope they do right by you...

happy holidays to you too

I think they stole your wheels and charged you for the service.

Unfortunately, it is considered a civil dispute and not criminal. That means you need to sue and the Po-lice won't do a thing about it.

Judging by their business practices I would not expect them to use the grade material required for our cars. These wheels might work well on a Corvette but not on a Porsche with 1.25 latteral Gs cornering abilities.

Ask me how I know.

I stick to HRE and other known established brands now. I have never broken an HRE product while cornering. The count is TWO broken wheels for lower tier products.

The most important, I guess, is what overlap in people and liabilities between these two companies exists. I think Chuck was involved with the last thread, and can maybe shed some light. I hope that all of these problems have been worked out, as they were never accused of designing an ugly product. Unfortunately, that's just part of the process in getting something perfect to a customer.
we did in fact take care of a 120 set back order left behind by the previous management. a lot of them which were paid in full and we had to come out of pocket to resolve. we worked closely with forum moderators to ensure everyone was taken care of...

I certainly would not trust the quality of their work if this is how they treat a customer.
You were trading in BBS wheels? Why?

Frankly after what happened to him there's no way I'd touch anything you guys have simply because it's waaay too easy to claim change of ownership and keep right on doing business. What assurances can you possibly provide that this wouldn't happen again? What's the story?
we had made the original investment to create 360 forged. we were not the owners. when we notice the company being mismanaged, we assumed the 360 forged product line...

please pm your contact information to get to the bottom of this.

i want to be very clear and need everyone to understand, we are not 360 forged. we've assumed the product line and now offer the wheels. we have not taken anyone's money or wheels. as of 5 months ago we publicly stated that we would resolve any open issues. as most of you know we did as promised. we reinvested a lot of money to get 360 forged back up to date. this just happens to be something that has not been brought to our attention. alain

little off subject but wheels boutique is not an authorized vender. please pm your contact information to confirm you haven't bought a counterfeit set of wheels. we've had some of their previous customers trying to warranty flaking paint and vibrating on wheels we nor the previous management manufactured. jon was a previous employee of 360 forged which had access to our center caps. wheels are probably fake though...

Rumor has it that DST still has most of the original players in it from 360 forged .

Dst are you willing to step up and make this right?? simple yes or no .
we've never said we would not resolve the problem. i assure you there is not 1 single employee from the previous staff here with us. anyone is more than welcome to stop by our shop for confirmation.

there's no secrets as to what was done in the past. bottom line is that as of 5 months ago we assumed the product line and took care of everyone. we came out of pocket a lot of money to correct this situation. otherwise there would have been a lot of you guys left without wheels..

When the company started to have backorder issues I felt it necessary to step in with Jordan's consent in order to help the situation. Jordan is a legitimate business man despite all of the rumors and allegations that have spread throughout the internet. Most of the personal attacks against him were brought on by several individuals who we know personally who have tried to bring the company down for their own benefit. The issues that he's faced were out of his control and he did the best he could to fix the problems. He is still involved with the company, however only responsible for product development and design.

More lies ? which is it ? why are you giving 1bad gt2 the runaround ?
this comment was made in the first stages of my re-involvement. this is before i knew how serious the problem was. since then we have completely assumed the product line and jordan nor any of the staff have any involvement. there are no lies. forged dst is owned and operated by me and my employees. mike is one of them...

All kidding aside, if 360 Forged or whatever the company that took over them is all business like they claim to be, they shouldn't have this much problems all over several forums.
if you guys take a look, these are all problems created by the previous management. problems that we stepped in and took care of. we've sold many wheels to forum members in the past 5 months with no complaint.
