0.7 Bar - 1.0 Bar Performance difference?

Is a remap to give 0.7 bar to 1.0 bar increase worthwhile? Is it just 'slightly' better or 'drastically' better and how is the power delivered i.e sooner spool up and for longer (appreciate this will vary slightly by map but overall) My car has stock K16's.

Thinking of having this done in combination with the TJW exhaust mod (pure genius BTW)

Should I just listen to the 'little voices' and get it done?...

Thanks

Jim

Thats a 4-5psi difference. If you see 10-15hp per 1psi (on average), thats a 40-75hp difference depending on many things. Would that be noticeable?

Yea, I tend to think it is worth it... You're talking about a decent upgrade. Add a free flowing exhaust, wastegate spring upgrade, and some Bailey DVs and you'll be very happy!

Mmmm - that'll be the next item on my 'to do' list, car is over 50k on original clutch, I never apply boost until fully engaged though - Is the remap likely finish it off? - It does judder slightly at low revs in reverse, is this sign of a new one being needed?

Thanks

It'll let you know at full boost, higher revs in 5th gear....It will keep reving without going any faster.
That shudder could be clutch, could be tranny mount too....

Tranny mount? Yikes It goes away with over 2-3k revs would that indicate that it is/isnt? How do you check tranny mounts and is that a big job to fix?

That shuddering is likely a result of how it was broken in. Slipping is the best sign it needs to be replaced. A flash generally will quickly diminish an original clutch, as you will increase your TQ by a measurable amount. You may get some time out of your current clutch after a flash, but don't expect a lot. Generally flashes add 50-75 whp and 75-100ft/lbs of TQ.

I did the flash/DV/TJW mod and wow, what a fantastic upgrade. I'm shipping for a real exhaust now and have a few in mind. Best bang for your buck with that combo IMHO!

this is a must do mod (ecu upgrade, dv's and exhaust). this will put you at the level of a 997.1 turbo, if not a little faster depending on your choice of ecu and exhaust.

Easy descision; do it. You will be happy with the upgrade but as others said, get the diverter valves as well.

While the added perf w/ the flash/dv/exh are worth it alone, what I really appreciate is the added throttle response & overall drivebility improvements.Have your wallet ready though-its very hard to stop once the mod bug hits!

But is there any SOPT improvement? I mean, the higher boost comes at higher RPM where the car is already running like a rapped ape, isn't it?

the boost comes on sooner and higher starting at about 3k rpm (depending on your tune), so you'll feel a significant difference even at lower rpms. the difference in power is more significant however at higher rpms. take a look at one of the dyno graphs from one of the sponsors and you'll see what i mean. better yet, get the flash,dv's and exhaust and you'll feel what i mean.
