2003 996tt - Steering Problem

I have a 996tt on a 2003 year and have very light front steering that wonders around, it kinda feels loose or over active power-steering.

Checked all bushes and joints even replaced the control arms with Polly-bushes but still the same.

Tyre pressures are correct at 36psi as also the tyres are good with no sign of uneven wear.

I have the vehicle booked in with centergravity.co.uk/ to check the geometry.

Any other common problems or anyone else had issues like this in the past?

Vehicle has done 83k miles.

Cheers
Westy

To be honest its been like this a good while and really has always felt light on the front end, but I would say its getting worse.

Coilovers are probably on the list of mods I would like to do but undecided yet on if not to chop it in for the 997turbo.

No leaks anywhere, no play in any control arm bushes.

Maybe wheel bearings or I guess it could be the shocks if they are finished.

This could be solved with alignment. Since that is already booked, it will be interesting to see if that helps.
