This will fit all 996 Turbo and GT2 cars from 01-05 and use the 78mm CTT OEM plug and play throttlebody. This part is designed for those running big turbos and want more power! The part is all made here inhouse at Vivid Racing and features aluminum piping, TIG welding, CNC machined flanges, and necessary o-ring. The part should retail for about $700 including the throttlebody. Stay tuned to www.agency-power.com/blog for release and test results.

Copied from your web site;
The IPD Plenums are a unique design that dramatically increases horsepower and torque by optimizing air flow efficiency. Air flow is managed through a diversion splitter that maximizes air speed into the engine. The charged intake air maintains a higher velocity by replacing the factory plastic "T" intake with a stronger and more efficient cast aluminum "Y" design. This unique "Y" style plenum optimizes flow, improving acceleration and boost response. The new IPD replacement plenum eliminates the turbulent air flow by smoothly splitting and diverting the air flow and directing it towards the cylinders at a much higher air speed.

My question is the photo it looks like the T shaped plenum? understanding that it is larger but why wouldn't the Y flow also be designed into the bigmouth as well? just curious?

Yep that is copied from our site which was copied from their marketing description. There is a market for them, so we sell them. Is there a debate about the design, yes. How come nobody else does a "Y" design, because they have a patent.

I dont want to get into a debate here which leads these threads the wrong way. This time, just wait for the results.

Product looks very nice! I would love to see how this piece compares power wise to the IPD Plenum. I assume the "turbulence" is not a issue with this design? In your opinion will this outperform the IPD piece and if so why would anyone need the "Y" design from IPD if it does? Is the "Y" design really that effective? Lastly, you indicated nobody else does Y design because of the patent which would indicate to me that others would use the design if the patent was not there. Which leads me to believe that the Y design is superior... If the patent was not there would you have designed yours with a "Y"?

Two separate tube/chambers that do not form a "Y" is not infringing upon an existing patent. Turbo Mike has offered several times to install his IPD but I am stalled on mods at the moment.

Couple Dan’s Plenum with a larger throttle body and you should be making more HP (Theoretically).

Look good. If it is 1 hp shy due to turbulance, but at this price, I would get it. Look forward to seeing dyno and real world test.

Competitive product is actually $1100 for the plenum and then $300 for the throttle body

Installing then strapping to the dyno at noon. Stay tuned.

I put my money where my mouth was and here are the results!

Test car is a 996TT with stock exhaust, Softronic ECU Flash, IK22 Plugs, K&N filter, Agency Power DV's, and Agency Power F-Hose.

The product is the new Agency Power Plenum/TB kit. The TB is a 78mm CTT Throttlebody and our aluminum T Plenum. The car runs 91 octane and by the screen shot and the corrected numbers, you can see this little bolt on added power! Install time was about 3 hours. We did not need to reflash the ECU again because Softronic ECU Flash is adaptive. At the end of the day, there was an entire RPM gain from test start at 2500rpm to 6500rpm. Peak performance is shown as 20hp and 20ft/lbs to the wheels. How does this compare to the competition? These are proven wheel HP gains back to back on 91 octane. The corrected numbers are much lower then the dyno sheet print out as you can see. Also these are wheel horserpower numbers. If you want drivetrain power, multiply by 1.25 because it is a Mustang Dyno.

Big mouth plenum!!!

Thanks to Dan and the Vividracing team for putting the Big Mouth Plenum on my 996TT K16 stock turbos with stock exhaust, Softronic ECU Flash, IK22 Plugs, K&N filter, Agency Power DV's, and Agency Power F-Hose. Dan installed the throttle body/Big Mouth Plenum and WOW what a difference the 20 hp and 20 ft/lbs i noticed through out the whole RPM range amazing power for a great price! Next is to get the Agency exhaust to see the #s go up even more.
