What is the transmission case made of? I don't think it can rust.

thats how mine looks underneath also, very dirty, and rusty

I believe the stuff you are refering to is cosmoline and it is a protectent applied by the factory and is normal

yep that is the name I could not remember. The brown stuff is probably that... Most of the engine and trans cases are magnesium and does not rust...

you are right and the green bolts are normal as well.

Yep, my bolts are green as well, not corroded copper... This all looks normal to me... Any anyone who knows Porsches doing your PPI should know this...

i asked for pictures of underneath the car and saw what looked like rust to me. since you're all much more informed than i am on these cars i figured i'd ask so yes there is a point to this thread and sorry if i wasted your time.

Engine cases haven't been magnesium for a long time. Presently they are aluminum.

This is how my engine looks like, is this normal? every single bolt is rusted, the car only has 28k miles...
